Landform and Hydrology

This study takes a 10-acre site in a slot canyon outside of Boulder, Utah, and examines the way that land-form and hydrology work together to create specific conditions, in this case, I examined flash-flooding. After modeling the land-form, looking at directional flows, and high rain events I designed an experimental grading plan which augmented the ground plane. This provocation for new water pathways slowed flows and created new conditions which correlated to new adjacent dynamics.
